yeah, that's fair enough, and I know where you're coming from, esp if it don't work properly so you've got rights to complain.

sadly, by the time Apple stuff gets landed in my region, accessories like this cost an absolute premium, so any cheap "make-do" solutions are a life saver.

enjoy your travels. may you have many to come.

John-
Just recently went to Europe (Italy, France, Germany), and the adapter kit was fantastic. I didn't have to worry about anything, just slipped the correct nubbin and plugged my MacBook into the socket, and away she went. Useful for charging things like iPhone and iPod, too. I have the soda can push-a-button, multi-prong adapter (reminded me of the pens with the multiple colors) that I didn't use at all.

Enjoy your travels, and sounds like 360flex is going to kick hiney.

@Barry,

Yeah I went in knowing this mihgt (most likely) be the most expensive way to internationalize my MacBook Pro. But like I said, i like parts that all match and look like they belong.

The other thing I have is a cool little swiss army like device which has them all in one "thing" and each country/region is a slide on the side that just exposes the prongs you need. Course it's half as tall as a soda can, and almost as fat.

here's a handy tip (which is no use to you now)

if you look at each of the international adapters, they are just plugs. the smarts is in the power supply that will automatically adjust the voltage 110, 120, 220, 240, etc.

the socket that these adapters plug into are just your standard portable radio/cd player ones. so you can just go down to the markets and by a spare radio/cd player cable for each region.
I got a European one for 2 Euro's and a UK one for 1 pound. much cheaper than a box of plastic Apple bits.

that did me for UK, Europe and the middle east
