I've used Quickbooks for the last 10 years. It's easy, has excellent reporting ( like aging reports, income by month/client etc, etc). You can customize your invoices, sent reminders, create estimates.

It does much more than I need, and since I don't really need alot of the features, I don't do many upgrades. In fact I've only used 2 versions over the last 10 years.

I used to use, and really like, blinksale.com. They have the same "send as PDF" option but only on their $24/month plan. Not sure how you feel about that. As for the PDF issues, couldn't you email it to yourself?

I too have looked around at many of the services online. I found Harvest (http://getharvest.com) to be by far the best in terms of usability, features, and price…
