IBM Elixir

According to CNET, IBM is purchasing ILOG, we know them for their cool looking, if expensive Elixir charting components. Should be interesting. the Article doesn’t mention Elixir, just that ILOG will become part of WebSphere.

Timetracking challenge, complete!

And the winner is! Harvest! What brought Harvest in for the win? Namely the free acct, since I don’t do enough concurrent projects the price for the basic was bit steep at this time. But more than that, the iPhone/iNewton interface was nice, and the invoicing, superb. Freshbooks invoicing was my biggest sticking point. Getting [...]

What the hell!

Tom ran across this today, and “what the hell” was the first thing that came to mind. I mean, three thousand dollars? That’s one thousand dollars per day. People are paying that? 700 people (capacity) are paying that? WTF!? the fine print is great. “Ticket includes a free AO insider membership! A $65 Value!” Wow [...]

Ignite Denver, open for business!

That’s right kiddies! The blog is up! the Email address is active. The fancy new logo straight from the O’Reilly presses is done (check it out, right there to the left!), and we’re good to go. I went for drinks with my wife tonight to make sure Forest Room 5 would work, and I think [...]

Been a little quiet

What with 360|Flex San Jose in under 30 days, planning Ignite Denver getting officially started, working on a really cool project for UM, keeping busy on The Flex Show, oh and trying to have a life, man oh man. 360|Flex: We’re in the home stretch, which means spending money, mainly. Ordering shirts, books, signage, plenty [...]

Maybe twitter needs to go P2P

It might’ve made more sense to funnel that kind of cash into infrastructure, since it seems not a day goes by, that theere’s something wrong with twitter. And that’s been discussed a hundred million times at least. [...]

Adobe!!! Stop making Acrobat useless with out Photoshop installed!

I already mentioned this type of lameness once! Thankfully this time it struck while I was at home with my CS3 disks. I installed Photoshop before, so that I could launch Acrobat. I uninstalled Photoshop because on the MacBook Air, I don’t want to waste the space, and I don’t do any graphics stuff on [...]

The App Store cometh

Saw this on one of the apple blogs. if you install iTunes 7.7 and do a search for an app, you’ll see the whole app store and be able to browse. They say you can’t install yet, which makes sense since 2.0 ain’t out yet. But I did try it and low-and-behold

Follow up to my Time tracking quest

So I’ve been playing around with a few options and so far it’s narrowed down to two: Harvest, and Freshbooks. Harvest has a few really good “pros” I like that I don’t have to email the invoice to myself under the clients name in order to get access to it as a PDF. That’s huge. [...]
